The President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon today evening in Paris met with the First Vice President of Total, Michael Borrel, on the sidelines of the 21st Session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP21).
The meeting discussed the current cooperation of Tajikistan with this company and its development prospects.
President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon expressed his views at the beginning of the conversation about the great possibilities of cooperation with foreign businessmen, investors and companies in the field of establishing geological and exploration works, extraction and processing of oil and gas production and their export.
The parties, taking into account this possibility, pointed out that all these measures will give concrete results in the development of the oil and gas sector in Tajikistan.
In addition, the meeting paid a special attention to other investment opportunities in various sectors of the Tajik economy, the implementation of its future projects, including in the areas of industry, mining and processing of minerals, production, processing and exports.
