Ceremony of signing of new cooperation documents between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Czech Republic

Following completion of the meetings and negotiations at the highest level, two new cooperation documents between Tajikistan and the Czech Republic have been signed.

Initially, Joint Statement of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Czech Republic on expansion of bilateral cooperation was adopted by the leaders of the two countries.

Then, the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Government of the Czech Republic on Air Communication was signed in the presence of Heads of State.

In addition, within the framework of the official visit of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Czech Republic,  prosecutor-generals of the two countries signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation between the Prosecutor-General’s Offices of the Republic of Tajikistan and of the Czech Republic.

After the negotiations and the ceremony of signing of the documents, President Emomali Rahmon and President of the Czech Republic, Milos Zeman, held a joint briefing for media. Presidents, in particular, noted that the negotiations and the signing of new documents on cooperation were a significant event in the history of friendly relationships between Tajikistan and the Czech Republic.

Following the Forum of the Tajik-Czech business communities and investors which will take place today, it is expected the signing of two new cooperation documents – Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tajikistan and the Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic and Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation between the National Library of Tajikistan and the National Library of the Czech Republic.
