Meeting with the Chairman of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic Jan Hamacek

Today, the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon received the Chairman of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic Jan Hamacek.

The two sides talked over current state and prospects of further expansion of bilateral relations and inter-parliamentary ties between Tajikistan and the Czech Republic.

It was stressed that the Tajik side pays special attention to further expansion of relations with the Czech Republic, particularly in the strengthening and expanding of inter-parliamentary ties.

In order to enhance relationships to a qualitatively new level it was highlighted that the Legislatures of the two countries need to improve and expand further work of the Parliamentary Group between the Majlisi namoyandagon Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic.

The sides also exchanged views on the active participation of the two nations' parliamentarians in the process of implementation of agreements reached during President Emomali Rahmon’s official visit to the Czech Republic at the beginning of December 2016.

It was expressed satisfaction with the expansion of political, economic and humanitarian ties between Tajikistan and the Czech Republic, effective proposals were put forward for the establishment of bilateral cooperation in the areas of hydropower, agriculture, education and tourism.


A constructive exchange of views took place on the expansion of inter-parliamentary ties, strengthening their role in regional and international cooperation, the fight against terrorism, extremism, transnational crime, and active participation in the stabilisation of the military-political situation in Afghanistan.

It was expressed confidence that through continuous dialogue at the highest level the Tajik-Czech cooperation in all spheres will be elevated to a new level, and will cover a wide range of areas of mutual interest in the future.
