Today the President of the country Emomali Rahmon received the Vice President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Lutfullo Furuzanda.
The issues of bilateral cooperation, including putting in commission of the second aggregate of the Sangtuda-2 HPP, beginning of construction of Aini power station on the river Zerafshan, linking transport and power networks of both countries, laying the water line from Tajikistan to Iran have been reviewed at the meeting.
Both sides expressed satisfaction over the effective activities of 150 Iranian companies in Tajikistan and increase in mutual trade turnover, the volume of which in 2011 reached 204 million USD that is 2 % more compared to 2010. Moreover, Emomali Rahmon stressed that "opportunities and resources are very numerous for multiple increase of indicators of goods exchange between Tajikistan and Iran".
