Later in the day, President Emomali Rahmon visited Shamsiddin Shohin district on a working visit, where he took part in the commissioning ceremony of the modern Palace of Culture that was built in the amount of TJS 8 million and that occupies an area of 1,248 square meters.
There he also attended the opening ceremonies of the Indoor and outdoor sports facilities, built by domestic entrepreneur Sulaymon Shamsov worth TJS 550.000, the unveiling ceremony of the National Flag square with a 40-meter flagpole, Shamsiddin Shohin Environmental Protection Department and the two-storey administrative building of the Executive Committee of the People's Democratic Party of Tajikistan in Shamsiddin Shohin and Shamsiddin Shohin Central Market that occupies an area of 2.400 square meters. He also took part in the inauguration ceremony of the three-storey administrative building of the Executive body of state authority of Shamsiddin Shohin district.
Concluding his visit, head of state Emomali Rahmon held a meeting with representatives of public that largely focused on socio-economic development of the Shamsiddin Shohin district. The discussion also focused on upcoming celebration of the 30th anniversary of the state independence of the Republic of Tajikistan.
In his speech, the head of state noted that during the period of independence, more than TJS 421 million were allocated from the national budget for the development of various sectors of Shamsiddin Shohin district. To date, 13 public investment projects worth more than TJS 383 million were implemented in the district for improving the quality education in educational institutions, reconstruction of damaged roads and bridges, purchase of agricultural machinery and equipment, repairing damaged substations and main electrical lines and drinking water pipes. Now five other projects for a total of TJS 200 million are under implementation.
Only for the reconstruction of three main road sections for a total distance of 51 kilometers in the territory of Shamsiddin Shohin district - Kulob – Kalai Khumb highway (Dushanbe–Kulma Road), i.e. sections of Kulob-Shamsiddin Shohin, Shamsiddin Shohin - Anjirobi Poyon and Anjirobi Poyon – Shohon were allocated TJS 1 billion.
In accordance with the approved action plan, there are plans to construct 192 jubilee facilities in the district, of which 61 facilities have been commissioned. During the period of independence, in Shamsiddin Shohin district from funding sources 41 buildings of educational institutions and additional buildings with 5.400 seats have been built and put into operation worth TJS 53 million.
