The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon visited Spitamen district in Sughd Province where he got familiar with operation of the poultry farm Faizi Sahar and attended an official opening ceremony of Somoniyon Palace, which had been built by local entrepreneurs Maksoudjon Rahmonov and Mansourjon Rahmonov.  

The poultry farm contains 173,000 chickens, with plans to increase their numbers to 200,000 in the near future. The new farm produces up to 2 million eggs per month.

In 2020, the poultry farm produced 17 million eggs, and in 2021 according to plan this figure will reach more than 20 million.

In the Somoniyon Palace, which cost 1.6 million somoni, President Rahmon held a meeting with 100 orphaned children from Spitamen, Buston, Guliston, Jabbor-Rasoulov, Bobojon-Ghafourov, Devashtich, and Zafarobod districts, and handed them with material and cash assistance packages.

Later, he visited Jabbor-Rasoulov district, where he inspected the subsidiary farm of the Internal Affairs department and attended an official opening ceremony of a 3.2 hectare fish pond.

In addition, in Khujand,- the administrative center of Sughd, President Rahmon attended the opening of the Mehroso orphanage-kindergarten, the construction of which was initiated by his instruction.

In Khujand, President Rahmon also took part in the opening ceremony of the Children's Dental Clinic, which will provide 60 people with jobs. A 16 dental office is equipped with the latest state-of-the-art dental tools and devices necessary to ensure quality and accurate work.

Likewise, President Rahmon put into operation a new weaving factory of the company Textilimpex.

The factory will be able to produce 396 square meters of wide range of high quality velvet fabric per day. Forty local residents will be provided with good salaries.

The commissioning of the Poultry Farm-2017 in Bobojon Ghafurov district, and the Sughd Poultry Industry farm built in Buston of Sughd Province followed the list.

The capacity of Sughd Poultry Industry is 1,200 tonnes per year.

Buston has 37 small and large-scale industrial enterprises in operation, and in the first half of 2021 they produced goods worth 274 million somoni, which is 1.9 somoni more than during the same period last year.
