Working visit to Aini

The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon is visiting Sughd Province to review the socio-economic development of the region, and to take part in the opening of the facilities commemorating the 30th anniversary of independence, and to meet with locals.

His visit began in Aini district where he opened a new modern boarding school with dormitories and other auxiliary facilities in the Anzob community. The school accommodates 110 students.

He also met with 20 orphans of Anzob and 40 teenagers of Yagnob Valley and handed them assistance packages.

He stressed that the government pays particular attention to the education of the younger generation, especially orphans and children from needy families, and necessary measures are being taken to create favorable conditions for their education, work and independent living.

While in Anzob, President Rahmon also inspected the conditions of the fish farming and yak breeding farming.

This was followed by an opening ceremony of a new secondary educational institution in the Dar-Dar village of Aini district, which is designed to accommodate 640 students in two shifts, which in turn was followed by the opening ceremony of poultry farm Murghi Sulton.

The farm has 16,000 birds, and the management of the farm  plans to increase the number of eggs to reach 480,000 in month in the future.

While taking part in the unveiling ceremonies of the National Flag Square with a 50-meter flagpole and the National Emblem, President Rahmon opened a sewing and handicraft workshop in the administrative center of Aini.

The workshop is capable of producing school uniforms, men's and women's clothing, wedding dresses, and home furnishings, among other things. It will employ 30 people.

While inspecting the livestock in the farms in Aini, President Rahmon took part in the opening ceremony of the  central stadium built to accommodate 6,000 people, which was financed by the government.

Concluding his visit he held a meeting with public representatives and noted that the government is continuing to ensure sustainable socio-economic development of Aini and has so far channeled more than 4.1 billion somoni from funding sources.

He noted that 20 public investment projects worth more than 2.3 billion somoni have been implemented in the region, with five more under implementation.

Currently, 11 industrial enterprises are operating in the district, and the volume of their production capacity in the first five months of 2021 has amounted to 717 million somoni, which is by 23% more compared to last year.

“Through government support, including through the construction of large-scale industrial enterprises, Aini district has now become one of the most important industrial centers of the country,” Rahmon noted.

Twenty seven new educational institutions and additional buildings for 12,000 students have been built since 1990, costing 87 million somoni, and according to the plan this year the construction of three more educational institutions designed for 1,100 students totaling 23 million somoni will be constructed in the near future.
