Following his visit to Lakhsh, the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon arrived on a working trip to Tojikobod, where he took part in the opening ceremony of the Tojikobod Service Center, which includes a restaurant with 150 seats, a folk craft center and a hotel to accommodate 40 people.

This was followed by the opening ceremony of the health care center, which in turn was followed by the opening ceremony of the administrative building of the Executive Committee of the People's Democratic Party of Tajikistan in Tojikobod district.

While visiting the Exhibition of Agricultural Products, National Cuisine and Handicrafts, President Rahmon held a meeting with the local public representatives.

He noted that the government is continuing to ensure sustainable socio-economic development of Tojikobod, and has so far channeled more than 780 billion somoni to the area.

He noted that 12 public investment projects worth more than 400 million somoni have been implemented in the district, with five more underway.

President Rahmon also noted  that the Program of Socio-Economic Development of Lakhsh for 2021-2025 provides for the implementation of 165 investment projects totaling 102 million somoni to further improve the infrastructure of the district.

Over 270 important socio-economic facilities have been built and reconstructed in the district, including 115 facilities by local entrepreneurs.

Since gaining state independence, several small and large-scale projects for supply of power totaling 24 million somoni have also been implemented, and the Fathobod HPP with a capacity of 282 kilowatts has been completed. 

The third phase of the Dushanbe-Kyrgyz Border Road Rehabilitation Project, and part of the Tajikistan Roads Improvement Project totaling 370 million somoni have been implemented.

According to President Rahmon, over the past 30 years funding of the education sector of the district has increased ten fold, and funding for the district's health system has increased 14 times.
