On July 12, the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, arrived at the Rogun hydroelectric power station to get familiar with the progress of construction work.

First, the Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, the Chairman of the Majlisi milli Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, Mayor of the city of Dushanbe, Rustami Emomali, and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan, Qohir Rasulzoda, reviewed the progress of construction work in the construction tunnel of the fourth layer.

The progress of work in the construction tunnel of the fourth layer was started in 2018, the length of the object, including the exit, is 1750 meters, and the diameter is 15 meters.

The productivity of the construction tunnel of the fourth layer is 3,500 cubic meters of water per second.

The length of access and aeration tunnels is 2319 meters.

The design work of the facility was carried out by the Swiss company "EFRI" and CJSC "Tojik Kon", and construction and installation work is ongoing by CJSC "Tojikhydromontazh" and CJSC "Tojikhydroelectromontazh".

The total volume of tunneling work in this area under the project is 417 thousand 881 cubic meters and concreting - 136 thousand 286 cubic meters. To date, 374 thousand 102 cubic meters of tunneling work and 39 thousand 200 cubic meters of concrete work have been completed, which is 89% and 29%, respectively.

Currently, with the involvement of domestic specialists around the clock, work is underway to reinforce the structural concrete of the wall, roof of the tunnel, grouting, pouring and strengthening, and other construction work.

In the emergency gate chamber and the main construction tunnel of the fourth layer, construction work is carried out according to plan with the involvement of specialists in two shifts, and day by day the workers of this construction site are approaching the final stage of work in the construction tunnel of the fourth layer.

The construction tunnel of the fourth layer, if necessary, is designed to drain excess water from the reservoir.

While scrutinizing the progress of construction work in the construction tunnel of the fourth layer, the Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, was presented with the work completed to date and plans for the future.

It was reported that the availability of suitable facilities for workers and the continued support and attention of the leadership of the state and the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan laid the foundation for the completion of construction work on this site in accordance with the plan.

The President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, during the visit, instructed the responsible persons and builders of the Rogun HPP to put the facility into operation on time and in accordance with the requirements.

The Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, emphasized that the Rogun hydroelectric power plant is considered a strategic facility and is one of the main plans of the state and the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan in the direction of strengthening energy independence, the timely and planned commissioning of each construction site will lay the foundation for the development of the national economy, and the Tajik people are deeply confident in the purposefulness and creative energy of the engineering and technical staff of the Rogun hydroelectric power station.
