On July 16, the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, arrived in "Farangis" dehkan farm in Khovaling district of Khatlon Province and got familiar with the progress of agrotechnical work, growing vegetables and beans.
"Farangis" dehkan farm was founded in 2004 and has 2 hectares of land at its disposal. There are 5 shareholders in this farm, and the head of the farm is an experienced entrepreneur Khonim Ahrorova. Farm workers are engaged in the cultivation of agricultural products, including vegetables, melons and beans.
The Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, in the course of becoming familiar with the vegetation and productivity of agricultural crops, both in the main sowing and in the repeated sowing, expressed satisfaction with the experience of farming of the workers of Khovaling district, and assessed the results of their close-knit work as an example to follow. Every year, shareholders plant corn for grain, beans, melons and vegetables such as potatoes, onions, tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, garlic, seed onions, beets, cabbage, pumpkins, peppers and herbs. Farmers carried out repeated sowing of potatoes of the variety "Tajikistan" on 0.60 hectares. The selection of high quality local seeds will allow to get the desired yield in the harvest season.
The Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, was informed that this year, after harvesting feed crops on the vacated lands, shareholders re-sowed grain crops, vegetables and melons, including tomatoes, cucumbers, potatoes, cabbage, beets, beans, pumpkins. Currently, the vegetation of agricultural crops is going well, they are provided with irrigation water and mineral fertilizers in a timely manner. According to business executives, the district's favorable weather is suitable for growing and producing various agricultural products.
From the harvest, along with meeting the needs of the economy, the necessary amount of grain and various types of canned products are also stored for the next two years.
The President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, held a conversation with farmers and managers, gave them useful advice and recommendations on how to use land more efficiently and increase agricultural production.
