On August 30, a meeting of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan was held under the chairmanship of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Head of the Government of the country Emomali Rahmon.

At the meeting of the Government, the report of the Minister of Labour, Migration and Employment of the Republic of Tajikistan Shirin Amonzoda on the implementation of the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan dated December 30, 2019 "On the State Program for the Promotion of Employment of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2020-2022" was first heard.

It was emphasized that the State Program for the Promotion of Employment of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2020-2022 plays an important role as part of the National Development Strategy of the Republic of Tajikistan for the period up to 2030 in the implementation of the state employment policy and, in this context, ensuring social and economic stability.

The program includes a set of measures that create conditions for promoting employment of the population, thereby laying the foundation for improving the welfare of the country's population.

The implementation of the set of indicators of the Program for 2020-2021 and the first half of 2022 was achieved at the level of 99.8 percent.

In 2020-2021 and the first half of 2022, 353,402 citizens applied to the labor and employment authorities. In total, 179,240 people were provided with jobs within the framework of the implementation of the State Program for the Promotion of Employment. Unemployment benefits were paid to 32 thousand 358 citizens for a period of 3 months.

According to the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, in 2020-2021 and the first half of 2022, 421 thousand 726 new jobs were created in the economy of Tajikistan, of which 156 thousand 623 are permanent jobs.

The President of the country, Emomali Rahmon, instructed the Ministry of Labor, Migration and Employment of the Population, in cooperation with the relevant ministries and departments, executive bodies of state power of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region, regions, the city of Dushanbe, cities and districts, to timely and fully implement the indicators and activities of the State Assistance Program for ensuring employment of the population of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2020-2022.

During the meeting of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, drafts of a number of laws were considered and submitted for consideration to the Majlisi namoyandagon Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, including on the draft Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Amendments and Additions to the Code of the Republic of Tajikistan on Administrative Offenses”, on the draft Law of the Republic Tajikistan “On Amendments to the Criminal Code of the Republic of Tajikistan”, on the draft Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Amendments to the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Tajikistan”, on the draft Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Amendments to the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Public Holidays”, on submission of the opinion of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan to the draft Constitutional Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On making additions to the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On the Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Tajikistan”, on submission of the opinion of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan to the draft Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On making additions to the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On the responsibility of parents for the education and upbringing of children”, on submitting the opinion of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan to the draft Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On making additions to the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On protecting the rights of the child” and on submitting conclusions of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan “On amendments and additions to the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On charitable activities”.

At the meeting of the Government of the country, the issues of the Framework Convention on Tourism Ethics, the Concept for the transition to digital education in the Republic of Tajikistan for the period up to 2042 and the creation of the Rogun tourist zone were also discussed.

At the end of the meeting of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the President of the country, Emomali Rahmon, gave specific instructions to the Government, heads of executive bodies of state power of regions, cities and districts, ministries and government departments to implement the instructions of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, instructions of the regular meeting of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, indicators of the Address of the President of the Republic Tajikistan to the Majlisi Oli, comprehensive preparation for the autumn-winter period of 2022-2023, efficient use of agricultural land, sufficient procurement of food products, fuel, expansion of construction and improvement work in the name of a worthy preparation to mark the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan.
