Today, the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, had a telephone conversation with the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Honorable Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

During the conversation, the results of the presidential elections held in the Republic of Uzbekistan were discussed.

The Leader of the Nation, with the wishes of health and new great successes in state activities, warmly congratulated the respected Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the successful results of this important political event and re-election to the high post of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

In continuation of the conversation, the parties considered the state and prospects of the Tajik-Uzbek relations of friendship, strategic partnership and alliance. The steady dynamics of development and deepening of the entire complex of multifaceted cooperation between the two states was noted.

In this context, the presidents reaffirmed their mutual intention to continue joint work in line with the further strengthening of good neighborly relations between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan in accordance with the fundamental interests of the two fraternal peoples.

The presidents also exchanged views on certain topical issues on the international and regional agenda.

At the end of the conversation, the Head of our state wished friendly Uzbekistan and its noble people peace, well-being and sustainable prosperity.
