His Excellency, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Mr. Emomali Rahmon defined the enhancement of level and standards of life of population as one of the top priorities in economic policy.
In this regard, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan in April this year in his address to the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan clearly expressed and gave specific instructions to implement the second phase of the reform of salaries, including increasing salaries for social workers, pensions and scholarships.
Thus, the Decree dated August 13, 2012 № 1313 “On measures to enhance the level of social protection of population, increase the existing salaries of employees of agencies, organizations of social sphere, scales of pensions and scholarships” has been signed by the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.
In accordance with the decree a new stage of raising the minimum salary, minimum and maximum pensions, existing salaries of employees of the institutions of social sphere, pensions and scholarships will be implemented beginning from September 1, 2012.
On the basis of the 1st paragraph of this Decree the minimum salary in all sectors of the republican economy will be increased by 2.5 times and its scale is set 200 TJS.
This means that the monthly salary of employees of all enterprises, organizations and institutions, regardless of ownership, from September 1 current year shall be not less than 200 TJS. This figure today accounts for 80 TJS.
