In the afternoon, the President of the country Emomali Rahmon has held a working meeting with the leadership and activists of the Sughd Region.

The results of social, economic and cultural development of the region during the 9 months of the current year and future plans have been analyzed and considered at the meeting.

The Head of State during his analytical speech expressed satisfaction with sustainable socio-economic enhancement of the Sughd Region in general and assigned the officials with concrete tasks on ensuring much better improvement of works in this area.

President Emomali Rahmon, referring to adoption of a Revised Tax Code and reduction of types of taxes from 21 to 10, gave to relevant structures instructions in order to establish a new system of tax-raising and conduct explanatory works among the officers of the area and tax-payers.

Moreover, the necessity of efficient and purposeful use of budgetary means has been reiterated.

Other orders and instructions have also been given during the listening to report of the chairman of Sughd Qohir Rasulzoda and leaders of a number of cities and districts, including active businessmen of the Sughd Region on enhancing production potential and increasing of jobs.
