In the afternoon, the President of the country Emomali Rahmon received the Director of Regional Office of the World Health Organization for Europe Zsuzsanna Jakab.

During the talk it was expressed satisfaction over the results of long-term cooperation between Tajikistan and the WHO. It was reminded that the total volume of assistance of this organisation for the development of health care sphere of Tajikistan has amounted to $19 million only during the 8 recent years.

Both sides have accentuated their interest in the enhancement and extension of further cooperation, including in the domain of implementation of Millennium Development Goals and new National Health Strategy of Tajikistan for 2010-2020.
