The President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon also attended the regular session of the Interstate Council of the Eurasian Economic Community in Moscow.
The summit’s participants also included other heads of member and observer states of the community.
The issues of implementation of activities related to Priority Directions of Development of the EurAsEC and Joint Action Plan Implementation on the reduction of consequences of world economic crises, strengthening of work of the Eurasian Development Bank on granting of credit for realization of priority projects of the community’s member states have been reviewed at the meeting.
The Head of Tajik State Emomali Rahmon focused special attention to the implementation of two agreements: one about the legal status of labor migrants and their families and another about the cooperation on resistance against illegal labor migration in the Customs Union member states. It was expressed confidence that “the interests of Tajikistan that can join this union in the future are also taken into account in these documents”.
During the session the heads of state positively evaluated the course of implementation of Action Plan on the realization of Concept of International Activity of the EurAsEC for 2011-2013 and programmes “Innovation technologies” and “Neutralization of lands with uranium production impact” of the community’s member states.
