Today, the President of the country Emomali Rahmon received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov.

A wide range of issues of cooperation and partnership between Tajikistan and Russia, including in the areas of policy, security, defence, energy, trade and investment, labor migration and others have been considered during the meeting.

Much focus has been made on the implementation of bilateral cooperation documents signed during the official visit of the President of Russian Federation Vladimir Putin to Tajikistan in October 2012. The coordination of draft agreements on export of oil products of Russia to Tajikistan without customs tax, on cooperation in energy, labor migration spheres and the order of stay of Tajik citizens in the territory of Russia are among them.

A constructive talks has also been held on the issues of regional and international cooperation between Tajikistan and Russia.
