Today, a solemn gathering has been held in state complex Kokhi Borbad with the participation of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Emomali Rahmon on the occasion of the 20^th anniversary since the establishment of the Armed Forces of the country.

During his speech, the President of the country Emomali Rahmon, referring to tragic days of the first years of state independence of Tajikistan, chaos and countless casualties, material and moral damage caused by the bloody internal conflicts, called today’s tranquil and peaceful atmosphere and prosperity the result of great sacrifices of thousands of conscientious sons of the country, who stood up staunchly for protection of unity of Tajikistan and its nation.

It was noted that in the history of 20^th anniversary of the Armed Forces, more than 14 thousand military officers have been trained inside the country, as well as 2600 persons – abroad. Currently, 3 thousand military students are studying military science inside and more than 1300 students – abroad.

With reference to gradual improvement of logistics of military structures of the country, it was stressed that during the last 5 years the funding of the sphere has increased for 2 times. The salary of military servicemen has increased for 9 times during the last 6 years.

The solemn gathering dedicated to the 20^th anniversary of the establishment of the Armed Forces of the country has finished with cultural program, which was demonstrated by professional artists and talented youth.
