Today, the President of the country Emomali Rahmon officially opened a new, grand building of Tajikistan National Museum and held a constructive meeting with numerous representatives of the republic's creative intelligentsia in its great assembly hall.

The famous Tajik theater artists and actors demonstrated the scene "Brief review on the ancient, medieval and contemporary history of the Tajik nation" at the entrance hall of the National Museum, which was very interesting. They embodied the personalities and best historic deeds of Kayumars, King Jamshed, Kurushi Kabir, Ismoili Somoni and other well-known historical figures.

The Head of State Emomali Rahmon with his accompanying persons got acquainted with a number of halls of the Tajikistan National Museum and highly commended the quality of construction works and necessary technical equipment. He also expressed his thanks to persons responsible for construction of this cultural object. He also gave useful advice and instructions for more beautiful and purposeful decoration of the halls, collection of historical, cultural and natural monuments, as well as their placement and presentation to foreign visitors.

As it was mentioned, the museum consists of the ground floor and three floors. Its total area is more than 24 thousand sq. m. The historical items are demonstrated in twenty-two halls, including two oval halls. Moreover, the museum has an assembly hall with 300 available seats, five storehouses for preservation of historical monuments, twelve rooms for experimentation, examination and renovation of historical and cultural items.

At the great hall of the National Museum of Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon held a meeting with numerous representatives of creative intelligentsia of the republic.

As it was noted, the meeting of the Head of State Emomali Rahmon with intelligentsia has become an annual tradition on the eve of International Navruz celebration.

President Emomali Rahmon, with reference to supreme Navruz values - this ancient and honorable holiday of Tajiks, which has been granted nowadays an international status, congratulated the audience, people of the republic and all Tajiks of the world on happy Navruz.

As it was stressed, "the aim of such meetings with intelligentsia is to create favorable conditions for creative strata of the country - writers, scientists, academics, culture experts for technical and technological research, creation, discovery and invention".
