In the afternoon, the President of the country Emomali Rahmon also received high-level representatives of a number of Asian countries, who visited Dushanbe for participation in the Meeting of the Asia Cooperation Dialogue Ministers of Foreign Affairs.

At the meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Erlan Abdyldaev the issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between the two countries have been reviewed.

Erlan Abdyldaev extended to the President of Tajikistan two letters from the President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambaev. As it was noted, by these letters the Head of Tajik State Emomali Rahmon is invited to pay an official visit to Kyrgyzstan and also attend the next meeting of heads of state of Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

Emomali Rahmon accepted the invitation of his Kyrgyz counterpart and stressed an interest of Tajikistan “in the development of stable and long-term relations with Kyrgyzstan”. It was also highlighted that “the expansion of ties with neighboring Kyrgyzstan is among the important directions of foreign policy of Tajikistan”.
