In the afternoon, the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon received the President of the state-run Russian Railways company Vladimir Yakunin.

The questions of cooperation between Tajikistan, Russia, member countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States and Baltic states in railway transport sector have been considered.

It was expressed satisfaction over the results of a meeting of heads of central structures of these countries in the railway sector, which was held today in the city of Dushanbe.

Vladimir Yakunin emphasized Russia’s interest in strengthening and bolstering cooperation with Tajikistan in the mentioned and other beneficial fields of interaction.
