Today, the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon received the Minister of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, co-chair of Intergovernmental Commission on Economic and Trade Cooperation between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan Kalykbek Sultanov.

The issues related to the development of multidimensional cooperation between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, including in the spheres of politics, economy and trade, regional security, science and culture have been considered at the meeting.

With reference to traditional friendship, good neighborhood, reliable partnership and accord of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan on major bilateral, regional and international issues, it was expressed confidence that the forthcoming official visit of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Republic of Kyrgyzstan will give a serious impetus to strengthening and enhancing of good relations and mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries.
