An extraordinary meeting of heads of member states of the Collective Security Treaty Organization has been held this evening in Bishkek.
Presidents of Tajikistan, Russia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan have gathered here for participation in this summit.
This informal meeting touched upon the issues related to the development of cooperation with the view of strengthening regional security and prevention of threats of modern world. Main attention was paid to coordination of joint actions related to prospects of situation in Afghanistan after the withdrawal of international security assistance forces from this country beyond 2014.
Heads of states stressed their readiness in facilitation to strengthening security in southern frontiers of region under the responsibility of CSTO, including in the state border between Tajikistan and Afghanistan.
