This evening, President Emomali Rahmon received a high-level delegation of the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan composed of ministers of finance, public utilities, chairmen of railway department and other officials.

The issues related to the ways to implement documents of bilateral and regional cooperation between Tajikistan and Afghanistan for development of economic, trade, investment, energy, transport and other ties have been reviewed at the meeting.

Main attention was paid to the preparation and submission for signing of trilateral trade and transit agreement between Tajikistan, Afghanistan and Pakistan, implementation of regional projects, such as CASA-1000, railway Tajikistan-Afghanistan-Turkmenistan and opening of new border points between the two neighboring countries.
