At the meeting of President Emomali Rahmon with UN Under-Secretary-General and High Representative for Landlocked Developing Countries Gyan Chandra Acharya mainly issues of cooperation in the spheres of water, energy, transport and communications have been considered.

Head of state Emomali Rahmon expressed gratitude to Gyan Chandra Acharya for visiting Dushanbe and participation in the International High-Level Conference on Water Cooperation, as well as his continued support of ideas and initiatives of Tajikistan in the area of regional and global water issues.

A constructive talk was also held on the issues of expansion of trade, increase of transit opportunities and development of international automobile transport in the region of Central Asia.
