Meeting with Special Representative of the UN Secretary General in Afghanistan Yan Kubis

In the afternoon, President Emomali Rahmon received the Special Representative of the UN Secretary General in Afghanistan Yan Kubis.

The meeting discussed the issues related to current situation in Afghanistan and prospects of its development, international cooperation, first of all in the margins of activities of the United Nations.

Head of state stressed that “Tajikistan will further continue its assistance in strengthening of socio-political security and stability, as well as economic revival of Afghanistan”.

As it was mentioned, facilitation of Tajikistan is carried out in the form of cooperation with military and law enforcement bodies of Afghanistan, preparation of personnel of these areas in our country and through implementation of economic and infrastructural projects, including transmission of cheap electricity power to this country.
