Today, in community Hayoti nav of the capital President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon opened the new building of construction and architecture faculty of the Technical University of Tajikistan named after Muhammad Osimi and took part in the festivities of beginning of a new academic year.

During acquaintance with material and technical conditions, it was in particular noted that this grand building has been erected at the expense of more than 38 million somoni and has 70 classrooms, including 22 laboratories and 2 big workshops, accommodating 4 thousand students in one and half shift. There is also a huge electronic library with more than 70 computers connected to Internet and to many other electronic libraries inside and beyond the country.

The building’s beautiful and spacious canteen is provided with all modern conditions and has 150 seats available.

The huge sports hall of the building is envisaged for different types of sports and physical training.

In the big assembly hall of the faculty, head of state Emomali Rahmon spoke on the occasion of the Day of Knowledge in front of almost 2 thousand professors and students from different higher education institutes and relevant republican officials. The course of speech of the President of the country Emomali Rahmon and festivities of the Day of Knowledge were demonstrated through space bridge and live coverage, as well as in majority of educational institutions of the country.   

President Emomali Rahmon recalled about the numerous measures of the Government of Tajikistan aimed at the adjustment of educational conditions in relevant institutions to modern requirements, and instructed the young generation of the country to thoroughly study contemporary science and technology, master arts and crafts, and to unprecedentedly develop their dear Motherland.

At the end a spontaneous question-and-answer part of the meeting was conducted between head of state Emomali Rahmon and the audience, professors and students of other educational institutions, including from cities and districts of Khujand, Khorugh and Rasht, during which concrete instructions were given for fulfillment of stated requests.
