Military Agreement between Tajikistan and Russia submitted for approval

Today, in September 18, 2013, in accordance with Article 9 of the Law "On International Treaties of the Republic of Tajikistan" the President of Tajikistan submitted the Agreement between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Russian Federation “On the status and conditions of stay of the Russian military base in Tajikistan”, signed October 5, 2012 in Dushanbe, for ratification by the Majlisi namoyandagon Majlisi Oli.

It should be noted that in accordance with the agreements reached between the parties on the package considering of the issues, earlier the President submitted for ratification by the Parliament the Agreement between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Russian Federation on the order of stay of citizens of the Republic of Tajikistan in the territory of the Russian Federation, signed on 8 February 2013 in Moscow.

Moreover, earlier Government Resolution dated May 2, 2013, № 199 approved the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Government of the Russian Federation on cooperation in the field of supply of petroleum products to the Republic of Tajikistan, signed February 6, 2013 in Moscow.
