Today, President Emomali Rahmon held a working meeting on issues of preparation for celebration of 3000^th anniversary of Hissor.

The working meeting was attended by the members of Organizing Committee on Preparation and Celebration of this holiday, members of the Government of the country and heads of relevant republican organizations and institutions, as well as leaders, activists and authoritative businessmen of Hissor district.

As it was mentioned, the 3000^th anniversary of Hissor will be marked in September 2015. Hundreds of new modern facilities will be constructed and thousands of new jobs will be created in the framework of this holiday at the expense of republican budget and other central funding sources, local budget and businessmen of Hissor distirct.

Deputy Chairman of Organizing Committee, Deputy Prime Minister of the country Murodali Alimardon, chairman of district of Hissor Usmon Sabzov and other officials have reported on the course of implementation of action plan on preparation for celebration.

President Emomali Rahmon stressed that “the main objective of celebration of 3000^th anniversary of Hissor is to protect historical and cultural monuments of this famous and ancient town, beautify and modernize its center”. As it was informed, the Government of Tajikistan has submitted its request in order to celebrate this historical and cultural holiday under the aegis of UNESCO.
