Today, the 12th session of the Consultative Council under the President of Tajikistan on improvement of investment climate has been held chaired by the President of Tajikistan, Head of Consultative Council on improvement of investment climate Emomali Rahmon.
The meeting attended by members of Consultative Council, officials of ministries and agencies, representatives of private sector and development partners addressed 4 important issues:
The meeting at first heard the report of executive secretary of the Council, Chairman of State Committee on Investment and State Property Management of Tajikistan Qodiri Qosim on results of monitoring of fulfillment of decisions of Consultative Council. It was noted that the decisions adopted by 10th and 11th sessions of the Council have been aimed at the development of partnership between state and private sector, protection and state support of business, continuation of reforms of licensing system, reforms of investment and business climates in tourism and insurance sectors, continuation of reforms of taxation system and expansion of dialogue between state and private sector at the regional level.
Concerning the second issue, the head of Secretariat of Consultative Council Zavqijon Zavqiev presented the analytical document “Model of development of tourism sector in Tajikistan” with concrete recommendations and draft Action Plan of the Government of Tajikistan on improvement of investment climate in tourism sector as a result of accomplished works.
On the third question of the agenda head of Association of micro-financial organizations of Tajikistan Farhod Akbarov presented the draft Action Plan of the Government of Tajikistan on improvement of indicators of the Republic of Tajikistan in the “Doing Business” Report of the World Bank. He in particular stated that the mentioned project has been developed by the Secretariat of the Consultative Council in cooperation with private sector and covers a number of actions according to each of ten indicators of the “Doing Business” Report.
