On the basis of provisions of paragraph 20 of the Decree of the President of Tajikistan dated 19 November 2013, #12 regarding the strengthening of system of coordination of policy of development and restructuring of the Executive Office of the President of Tajikistan, on 17 January 2014 Decree of the President of Tajikistan #116 “About restructuring the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan” has been signed.
Restructuring of the Executive Office of the President of Tajikistan whose mission in the transition period is to coordinate the implementation of national development policy, ensure activities of the President of Tajikistan as the guarantor of the Constitution and human and civil rights and freedoms, including the activities of the Government of Tajikistan, is first of all aimed at the analysis of macroeconomic situation, development of strategic initiatives, prospects and monitoring of implementation of strategy and policy, coordination of process of reforms, determination of development priorities, as well as development of well-founded proposals.
At the same time, the mechanism of informing the population and other interested parties in the process of development about the policy and taken measures by the leadership of the state and government will be improved and the level of state service and cooperation with society will be enhanced.
Restructuring will also aim at the elimination of repetition of positions and exact distribution of functionalities of structures of the Executive Office.
In this context, with the view of enhancement of institutional novelties and adjustment of system of state management to international standards, the section of state advisors of the President of Tajikistan is transformed into the section of assistants to the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, and the structural units of the Executive Office are classified into separate sectoral blocs and departments have been established in order to strengthen the system of coordination of activities.
