Official visit of the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon to the Republic of Belarus began with the solemn ceremony of official reception at the square near the Independence Palace of Minsk city.

The consideration of issues related to the development of friendly relations and beneficial cooperation commenced at the tete-a-tete meeting of President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.

Alexander Lukashenko particularly said to Emomali Rahmon that you are for me and the people of Belarus always a pleasant guest. “Tajikistan and Belarus as well as the two nations are friends and brothers, and we, heads of states also act according to these relations”.

Emomali Rahmon thanked Alexander Lukashenko for brotherly invitation and reception and for constant support of Tajikistan. He also expressed gratitude for assistance in the training of cadres of different spheres of Tajikistan, including specialists of military and law enforcement structures.
