Today in Kokhi Vahdat of the capital President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon held a meeting with senior personnel of law enforcement and military structures.
During the session the successes and failures of the law enforcement and military structures of the country during the recent years have been analyzed and considered as well as necessary measures have been defined to reveal and eliminate the existing drawbacks.
Other phenomena which caused the increase of concern were named crimes among teenagers and youth, particularly among senior class students and transport accidents.
Head of state Emomali Rahmon stressed: “the modern roads and tunnels are constructed and commissioned not for the purpose of accelerating the speed of a car over its normal speed and putting your and others’ lives at danger”. In this regard, the observing of laws of Tajikistan “About responsibility of parents in education and training of their children” and “About regulation of traditions, customs and ceremonies” was demanded.
With reference to increase of crimes with use of light weapons and arms it was concluded that “still there are illegal weapons in the hands of criminal objects” and that effective measures should be taken to withdraw such arms from criminal groups.
It was also expressed concern over the illegal drug trafficking and increase in number of drug addicts in Tajikistan, incidents with human trafficking, particularly trafficking in children and young women and girls to abroad.
