In the afternoon President Emomali Rahmon received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of China Wang Yi.

The sides discussed issues of multidimensional cooperation between Tajikistan and China. Much attention was focussed on preparations for state visit of the President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping to Tajikistan and regular SCO summit in Dushanbe.

An exchange of views was also held on the development of cooperation in the areas of economy, trade, investment, energy, industry, agriculture, culture, education, science and technology.

The sides also considered the expansion of mutually beneficial ties between military and security structures of both countries in the domain of maintaining regional security and stability.
