Today, President Emomali Rahmon received an authoritative delegation from State of Qatar which arrived to Tajikistan headed by the President of Board of Directors of “Izdon” holding of State of Qatar Sheikh Khaled bin Thani Al-Thani.

The meeting addressed the issues related to friendly relations and beneficial cooperation between Tajikistan and Qatar.

Sheikh Khaled bin Thani Al-Thani, while defining the purposes of this authoritative delegation, informed that the State of Qatar is ready to actively cooperate with Tajikistan in the banking, insurance, healthcare sectors as well as to take an active part in the implementation of beneficial projects of our country. According to him, the construction and commissioning of a bank which would act according to Islamic banking system, a modern hospital and other works are among the actions for implementation of which the Qatari side has already made primary steps.

Head of state Emomali Rahmon highly appreciated the level and content of cooperation between Tajikistan and Qatar, and expressed confidence that “Izdon” holding, other respected companies and different structures of this country will have beneficial plans to invest into the economy of Tajikistan, since a favorable basis is available for the development of economic, trade, investment, cultural cooperation between the two friendly states.

Both sides expressed deep interest in the establishment and expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation.
