President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon sent a telegram to President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping, which reads, in particular:

"Dear Mr. President,

The 65th anniversary since founding of the People's Republic gives me a pleasant opportunity to warmly congratulate you and all the friendly people of China on this momentous occasion.

It is gratifying that the friendly China during this period made ​​impressive gains in economic development and the flourishing of culture and education. China enjoys a well-deserved reputation on the world stage, speaking for peace, security and stability in the world. We, as a good friend, sincerely rejoice with you this achievement.

Neighborly and friendly relations with China have always been for the Republic of Tajikistan a key priority in its foreign policy. We appreciate them and value them and will make every effort to further strengthen and deepen our strategic partnership with China and to contribute to their continued enrichment and development.

Evidence of this is the recently signed joint declaration on deepening bilateral strategic partnership and adopted cooperation program till 2020. We will continue to develop regular political dialogue and confidence in order to intensify and improve relations between the two countries in all areas of mutual interest.

I would like to emphasize with sincere gratitude your invaluable contribution to the development of the Tajik-Chinese relations. Largely thanks to your efforts, our relationship which has recently gained a significant boost will serve to more fully realizing the potential of the effective interaction between the two countries.

I am convinced that the practical implementation of the documents signed during your recent visit to Tajikistan and the beginning of large-scale projects in various sectors of the economy of Tajikistan, will give a powerful impetus to the fruitful cooperation between the two countries and raise the level of our cooperation to new heights corresponding to a rich potential that exists in our bilateral relations.

I am pleased to note the effective Tajik-Chinese cooperation in the SCO framework, where China is also an active supporter of integration and comprehensive development of relations between the Member States.

Taking this opportunity, I would like to stress once again that Tajikistan is determined to deepen and broaden the scope of cooperation with China, which is in the fundamental interests of both countries and peoples to preserve regional security and stability.

In these bright days, let me wish you, dear Mr. President, good health, happiness and success in all your endeavors for the benefit of the great prosperity of China, and its friendly people - peace and prosperity".
