In the conversation between President Emomali Rahmon and the State Minister of the United Arab Emirates Abdullah Gabbosh issues of developing cooperation between the two countries have been discussed.
President Emomali Rahmon at the beginning of the talks said that "we are satisfied with the level and content of the bilateral relations with the United Arab Emirates and are willing to make efforts for their further strengthening and expansion."
It was stressed that the UAE among Arab countries is the largest trade partner of Tajikistan and is the only Arab country that has direct flights to Tajikistan.
However, it was stressed that relations between Tajikistan and the UAE, especially in the spheres of economy, has still not reached the proper level, and they have large untapped opportunities.
According to A. Gabbosh the UAE is deeply interested in expanding multifaceted economic cooperation with Tajikistan, primarily in the fields of energy, agriculture and drinking water.
