On November 9th, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon received the Governor of Saint Petersburg of the Russian Federation Georgy Poltavchenko.

The meeting discussed issues of friendship and multifaceted cooperation between Tajikistan and Russia, including the City of St. Petersburg.

It was expressed satisfaction with the progress and results of the "Days of St. Petersburg in Dushanbe".

It was emphasized that direct fruitful cooperation will be established in the future between the different structures of these cities of the two friendly countries, including in the direction of education in the city of Dushanbe, the Russian language and specialties of likely migrants, and also on specific businesses and ensuring the necessary conditions in the city of St. Petersburg.

Moreover, in this regard its activities also strengthen vocational schools in Dushanbe and other educational and industrial institutions.

A constructive conversation was also held on the expansion of cooperation in the fields of energy, industry, agriculture, education, health, science and technology.
