Today, under the chairmanship of the Head of the Security Council, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon was held a regular meeting of the Security Council of the country, during which were considered mainly issues related to economic security, the fight against corruption, the protection of law and order in this area.
The meeting was attended by the permanent members and the members of the Security Council, leaders of the Chamber of Accounts and the Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption, the heads of law enforcement agencies and a number of other ministries and departments.
President Emomali Rahmon, calling corruption dangerous anti-government action, stressed that this shameful phenomenon reduces the authority of the state, both domestically and abroad, weakens the foundations of statehood. Therefore, it was stressed that the fight against corruption crimes is one of the main ways of ensuring economic security and overall security of the state.
During today's meeting of the Security Council also reports of the heads of the Chamber of Accounts, the Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption and other relevant structures were heard.
