The President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon left for official visit to Turkmenistan.
The President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon was seen off by the Chairman of the Majlisi Milli of Majlisi Oli (Upper House of Parliament) of the Republic of Tajikistan Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloev, Chairman of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli (Lower house of the Parliament) Shukurjon Zuhurov, and Prime Minister Qohir Rasulzoda, the head of the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Bakhtiyor Khudoyorzoda and other officials.
President Emomali Rahmon on this trip is accompanied by Foreign Minister Sirodjidin Aslov, Assistant to the President on Foreign Relations Erkinkhon Rahmatullozoda, Minister of Energy and Water Resources Usmonali Usmonzoda, Minister of Health and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Tajikistan Nusratullo Salimzoda, Chairman of the Committee for Television and Radio under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan Pirzoda Mahmadsaid as well as the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce of Tajikistan Sharif Said and other officials.
Within the framework of his official visit, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon will meet with the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and discuss the issues related to the development of friendly relations and expansion of multilateral cooperation between the two countries.
The delegations of the two countries will discuss various Tajik-Turkmen issues of mutual interest at the official negotiations.
In addition, a number of new and important documents on cooperation between Tajikistan and Turkmenistan will be signed based on the results of official meetings and negotiations.
Official visit of the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon to Turkmenistan is the logical continuation of the previous visits of the Head of Tajikistan to promote the development and expansion of friendly relations, cooperation and the use of untapped potentials in the interests of the two nations.
