Today the President of the country Emomali Rahmon considered issues of implementation of numerous programs and projects for cooperation at the meeting with the Regional Director of the United Nations Development Programme for Europe and Commonwealth of Independent States, Chairman of UN Regional Group for Development Ms. Kori Udovicki.
The sides noted satisfaction over the unprecedented development of bilateral cooperation at the meeting with the President of Islamic Development Bank Dr. Ahmad Mohamed Ali.
As it was mentioned, 8 priority state investment projects are being implemented currently with share of Islamic Development Bank in Tajikistan, the total budget of which consists of 264 million USD.
The opening of Islamic Development Bank Representation in Tajikistan has been considered necessary for further expansion of cooperation.
At the meeting of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon with Director General of the International Migration Organization William Lacy Swing have been discussed the issues of comprehensive cooperation in this sphere.
William Lesley Sling stated that the International Migration Organization will further promote the resolution of problems of Tajikistan, particularly issues regarding labor migration, internal migration related to natural and anthropogenic disaster risks, skill training of potential migrants and others.
The issues of regional cooperation have been substantially discussed at the meeting with Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Yahyo Marufi.
As it was underlined, the majority of subjects of the Fifth Regional Economic Cooperation Conference on Afghanistan are among the issues which are also being undertaken within the framework of ECO.
The issues of cooperation of Tajikistan and the United Nations on Afghanistan and in the region have also been considered at the meeting of the Head of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon with the UN Under-Secretary-General, Executive Director of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and Pacific Ms. Noeleen Heyzer.
In the course of meeting with the Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General on Afghanistan Jan Kubis the issues of bilateral and regional interaction for economic reconstruction of Afghanistan and strengthening socio-political stability of this country have been considered.
It was stressed that the numerous UN structures will further support sustainable development of Tajikistan, as well as will promote actively ensuring stability in Afghanistan through its geostrategic opportunities and resources.
In the afternoon the President of the country Emomali Rahmon received a number of high-ranking participants of the Fifth Regional Economic Cooperation Conference on Afghanistan (RECCA-V).
During the meeting of Emomali Rahmon with the Minister of Transport of France Thierry Mariani the issues of bilateral and regional cooperation between both countries have been considered.

In the evening of 25th of March the first quadrilateral meeting of the Presidents of Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Iran and Pakistan has been held in Dushanbe.
The issues of regional cooperation in spheres of policy, joint security interaction in fight against modern world threats and challenges, enhancement of socio-economic, investment, innovation relations and others have been discussed at the meeting, which was chaired by the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.
