In the afternoon in the big hall of Kokhi Vahdat of the capital an enlarged session of the Government of the country under the chairmanship of the President of the country, Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon was held, during which the results of activities in the first quarter of current year and further tasks have been considered.

The message of the President of the country to the Majlisi Oli is being presented in year of commemoration of two great and determining dates for the Tajik state, that are the twentieth anniversary of the 16^th Session of the Supreme Council and the 15-years of National Unity Day.

Address by the President of the country to Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan has commenced in “Kokhi Somon” Palace of the residence of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan. The key directions of internal and foreign policy of Tajikistan will be outlined in this address.

According to Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan the address of the President of the country will be conveyed to Parliament at the joint session of Majlisi milli and Majlisi namoyandagon of Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan.

Today, the President of the country Emomali Rahmon received the United Nations Secretary-General Assistant, head of delegation of UN High Commission for implementation of initiative “Sustainable energy for all” Luis Horacio Gomez Echeverri.

The current issues and prospects of wide-ranging cooperation between Tajikistan and the United Nations, first of all in water and energy spheres and ensuring sustainable development have been reviewed at the meeting.

This morning a building of Branch of National Research Technology University MISiS has been opened with participation of the President of the country Emomali Rahmon in Dushanbe.

The Special Representative of the President of Russian Federation, Head of Federal Agency on Humanitarian Cooperation with CIS Constantin Kosachyov, Rector of National Research Technology University MISiS Dmitriy Livanov and functionaries of education, energy and industry areas of Tajikistan attended the opening ceremony of this educational institute.

Yesterday, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan has signed a number of laws adopted by Majlisi namoyandagon and approved by Majlisi milli.

Today the President of the country Emomali Rahmon heard the telephone report of the chairmen of cities and districts of Rudaki, Hissor, Vahdat, Fayzobod and Tursunzoda.

During the report focus attention was paid to indicators of economic development, including the fulfillment of state budget in the first quarter of current year, course of spring sowing, strengthening improvement and beautification works and activities of industrial enterprises, creation of new jobs, as well as protection of population from risks of floods and other natural disasters.

Today the Head of State Emomali Rahmon held the ninth meeting of Consultative Council under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan on enhancement of investment climate.

The course of fulfillment of previously adopted decisions of the Council, revised draft Tax Code of the Republic of Tajikistan, report of the Chairman of Consultative Council on enhancement of investment and business climate in Khatlon region and issues of draft working agenda of the next session have been considered at the session.

Today the President of the country Emomali Rahmon received a group of cadres proposed for appointment to high posts in Public Prosecutor’s Office and Interior Ministry organs.
